Bad pictures of good plants.
This is William the Wormwood Plant. He's my little buddy, even if Grandfather
Wormwood Himself isn't especially friendly. We get along, though, and I've
learned just about everything I know about dealing with plants and plant spirits
from him.
This is Skala the Skullcap Plant. She's my relay to Grandparent Skullcap, and
I'm taking formal lessons from Skala for a year. Grandparent Skullcap is (to
my eyes) a hermaphrodite spirit, leaning more towards the feminine side of the
spectrum. She is less cantankerous then Wormwood, but is "spikey" for lack of
a better term. Not ridgid, just. . .spikey. I'm not sure where Skala the
Skullcap Plant ends and Grandparent Skullcap begins; Skala herself is more
feminine, and perhaps less spikey, but just as demanding and harsh. She puts
up with /no/ arguement, and demands things be done her way. I've also gotten to
see her gentler side, but she is no less kind on that end, either. Her soft
side is dangerously seductive and deeply relaxing. She'd relax you right into
a coma, I think, if you let her.
This is the mugwort plant I bought yesterday. It's huge! Much bigger then
they were when I first saw them a couple months ago at the nursury. I had to
get a larger pot then I expected to, actually. I havne't named her (him?) yet.
Somehow, I feel rather reluctant to get to know her. We'll see how it goes.
